In an exclusive partnership with Disney, Nio has launched the ET5T Tron Limited Edition, coinciding with the release of the movie Tron: Ares. This limited-run vehicle, capped at 555 units, features a unique design inspired by the futuristic aesthetics of the film, offering a blend of cutting-edge technology and distinctive styling.
The Nio ET5T Tron Limited Edition is a striking addition to the electric vehicle market, with its deep space black exterior adorned with Tron-themed decals. The car’s aesthetic is complemented by the Moon exterior theme package, which includes roof rails and 20-inch five-spoke wind-speed wheels with orange brake callipers. These elements not only enhance the vehicle's visual appeal but also align with the film's futuristic theme.
Under the hood, the ET5T Tron Limited Edition boasts the same advanced chassis as Nio’s Champion Edition. This includes upgraded front and rear anti-roll bars and increased torsional rigidity by 6%, ensuring a smooth and stable ride. The chassis supports a sport-oriented software calibration and introduces a new EP Mode, which expands driving scenarios with customizable settings, further enhancing the vehicle's performance capabilities.
Inside, the Tron Limited Edition continues the futuristic theme with an Electric Purple interior trim. Nappa & Haptex dual-material seats offer a luxurious experience, while the NOMI Mate 3.0 infotainment system provides seamless connectivity and entertainment options. For a limited time, buyers can also enjoy the 'Comfort Pack', which includes features like a heated steering wheel, front-seat ventilation and massage, and rear-seat heating, making every journey comfortable and enjoyable.
The technological advancements in the ET5T Tron Limited Edition are noteworthy. The vehicle is equipped with an innovative ADB multi-beam headlight system, updated Double-Dash daytime running lights, and a closed front grille with a larger trapezoidal air intake. These features not only enhance the car's aerodynamics but also improve safety and visibility. Moreover, the vehicle includes 29 high-precision sensors, an equivalent 300-line LiDAR, and 4D imaging radar, all powered by Nio’s self-developed Dimensity NX9031 chip, offering advanced driver-assistance capabilities.
The ET5T Tron Limited Edition is priced at 316,000 yuan (approximately 44,358 USD) for a complete purchase, or 208,000 yuan (approximately 29,204 USD) under the Battery-as-a-Service (BaaS) plan. This innovative pricing model allows owners to rent the battery, reducing the upfront cost of the vehicle. This approach not only makes the vehicle more accessible to a broader audience but also aligns with the sustainability goals of many modern consumers.
As the automotive industry continues to evolve, Nio's ET5T Tron Limited Edition stands out as a testament to the brand's commitment to innovation and design. By integrating cutting-edge technology with a unique artistic vision inspired by a popular film, Nio is setting a new standard in the electric vehicle market. This release not only highlights the potential for creative collaborations in the industry but also showcases how limited-edition models can captivate and inspire consumers globally.
